I think he’s right.

There’s always something in our way. There are obstacles to overcome. We’re constantly being tugged in one direction or another. Sometimes we even get pulled in two directions at one time.

There’s work or school. There’s friends and family. There’s fatigue and sickness. Like a cloud blocking the sun all these obstacles block us from seeing our goals.

This makes it easy to skip a workout. Let our eating habits run wild…

and let our goals drift a little further into the future.

Life’s a battlefield!

But how bad do you want it?

How bad do you want to build muscle?

There’s no escaping the fact that we’ll be presented with obstacles and roadblocks.

But a bend in the road, isn’t the end of the road, unless we fail to make a turn.

We can’t allow life’s obstacles prevent us from reaching our goals.

Some sacrifices need to be made. Some effort will be required.

It’s true. Working out is hard.

There will be days when the bar seems extra heavy. Muscles ache and burn with every rep.

It doesn’t get any easier away from the gym.

Dieting is hard. There are temptations all around.

Life’s a battlefield!

But how bad do you want?

 

Are you willing to invest in yourself?

Are you willing to put in the time and effort necessary.

Not everyone is.

This is the easy part.

It’s easy to know what to do.

Everything may not be clear at first. But it doesn’t take much to fill in the information gaps. It doesn’t take much to get a plan.

[hclightbox id=”6″ text=”Pick up a good recipe book “] and you never have to think about counting your calories or what to eat. Nutrition will become easy.

On the other side of the equation, the workout. Invest in a trainer or a well put together workout program.

With those two elements in place all the thinking is done. In just a few clicks all the necessary information is available.

All that’s left is the doing.

This is where it gets difficult. Where those who aren’t serious drop off.

In the words of Jordan Belfort

“The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bullshit story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.”

I know that may sound a little harsh, but it’s true.

If you put your mind to it. You can succeed.

James has done it. The guy only has the use of one arm. And he’s a powerlifter. If he can do it. So can you.

I have to fight everyday and you’re going to have to do a little bit of fighting yourself. But you can succeed.

Life’s a battlefield!
